Comments

When visitors post comments on the site, we collect the data displayed in the comment form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and user agent string (which identifies the browser) to help detect spam.

An anonymized string may be created from your email address (also called a hash) and passed to the Gravatar service to verify that you are using it. You can find the Gravatar service’s privacy policy here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture will be publicly visible in the context of your comment.

Media

If you are a registered user and upload photos to this site, you should avoid uploading photos with an EXIF GPS location. Visitors to this website could download photos stored on this website and extract their location information.

When you post a comment on our website, it may be a consent to store your name, email address and website in cookies. This is a convenience feature so that when you post another comment, you don’t have to re-enter all this data. These cookies are stored for one year.

If you have an account and log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie does not contain any personally identifiable information and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you sign in, we will set up some cookies to store your login information and viewing options. Login cookies expire after two days and display options cookies expire after one year. If you select „Stay signed in“ when you sign up, your sign-in will be maintained for two weeks. Logging out of your account will delete the login cookies.

Newsletter

If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we require an e-mail address and information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the specified e-mail address and agree to receive the newsletter. Further data is not collected or only on a voluntary basis. We use this data exclusively for sending the requested information.

The processing of the data entered in the newsletter registration form is based on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO). You can revoke your consent to the storage of the data, the e-mail address and their use for sending the newsletter at any time, for example via the „unsubscribe“ link in the newsletter. The legality of the data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.

This website uses SendinBlue to send newsletters. The provider is SendinBlue SAS, 55 rue d’Amsterdam, 75008 Paris, France. SendinBlue is a service that organizes and analyzes the sending of newsletters. The data you enter for the purpose of receiving newsletters (e.g. e-mail address) is stored on SendinBlue’s servers.

Our newsletters sent with SendinBlue allow us to analyze the behavior of newsletter recipients. Among other things, this allows us to analyze how many recipients opened the newsletter message and how often which link in the newsletter was clicked. All links in the email are so-called tracking links, which can be used to count your clicks.

If you do not want analysis by SendinBlue, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter. For this purpose, we provide a corresponding link in every newsletter message. Furthermore, you can also revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by sending an e-mail to the address given in our imprint.

The data you have deposited with us for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will be stored by us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted from both our servers and the servers of SendinBlue after you unsubscribe from the newsletter. Data that has been stored by us for other purposes (e.g. e-mail addresses for the members‘ area) remains unaffected by this.

For more details, please refer to SendinBlue’s privacy policy at: https://de.sendinblue.com/legal/privacypolicy/.

Inclusion of contract for order processing
We have concluded a contract with SendinBlue, in which we oblige SendinBlue to protect our customers‘ data and not to pass it on to third parties.

Embedded content from other websites

Posts on this website may contain embedded content (such as videos, images, posts, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if the visitor had visited the other website.

These websites may collect information about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking services, and record your interaction with that embedded content, including your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged into that website.

With whom we share your information

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long we store your data

When you post a comment, it is stored indefinitely, including metadata. This way, we can automatically detect and approve follow-up comments instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users who register on our site, we additionally store the personal information they provide in their user profiles. All users can view, change or delete their personal information at any time (the username cannot be changed). Administrators of the website can also view and modify this information.

What rights you have to your data

If you have an account on this site or have posted comments, you may request an export of your personal information from us, including any information you have provided to us. In addition, you may request deletion of any personal data we have stored about you. This does not include data that we are required to retain due to administrative, legal, or security needs.

Where we send your information

Visitor comments could be examined by an automated service for spam detection.
